NVTSI is seeking a FT Business Development Associate to help promote our new Veterans Employment-Related Assistance Program (VEAP) funded by EDD to promote Career Technical Training and job Placement for veterans with Significant Barriers to Employment.
In this role you will plan and implement effective strategies to recruit, retain and manage current and new sponsor organizations and relationships to achieve established goals for the Veterans Employment Assistance Program (VEAP). Focus will be on New Business development, specific Vertical Markets, specific Key Accounts or other specialized targets as defined by management. This position will focus primarily on the Veteran Workforce Development. The other focus will be targeting local and national employers to support OPERATION REBOOT and other seasonal events such as Dress for Success Day for Women Veterans, Warriors to the Workforce Annual Hiring Fair, and Veterans Entrepreneurs Summit. The person also needs to be comfortable doing presentations to this audience and be able to adjust the message to the audience age group, will also develop potential Sponsor leads. Provide ongoing support to Employers & Sponsors and implement appropriate special donor recruitment programs.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, communications or equivalent combination of related education and experience required. Minimum of five years related experience required. Two years successful Recruitment Representative experience preferred. Knowledge of C-Level suite sales, group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training and presentation skills is required. A thorough knowledge of the military/veteran community with access to all bases is a big plus. PMP and or CAPM also a plus. A current valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
